Description

BC First Nations Studies 12 focuses on traditional and contemporary issues facing BC First Nation peoples. The course consists of four modules. Module 1 discusses First Nations traditional relationship to the land and the environment. In Module 2 the history of European contact, colonialism and native resistance is explored. Module 3 addresses the emergence of aboriginal cultural expression and identity. The course culminates in Module 4 with the theme of First Nation leadership and self-determination in the present day.
