Foundations and Pre-Calculus 10

Description

This grade 11 math course focuses on math topics that complement topics in Pre-Calculus 11. Topics include trigonometry, logic and reasoning, quadratic functions and equations, and Statistics.

                                              

This course can be used as math 11 credit for graduation. Certain university undergraduate programs will not accept this course as entrance requirement. Please check with your university for requirements.

 

Course Topics/Modules

Inductive/Deductive reasoning

 

Triangle properties according to the size of their angles/trigonometry

 

Statistics (normal distribution)

 

System of linear inequality

 

Quadratic functions, equations

 

Assessment

Assignments: 40%

Exams (midterm/final exam): 60%

Teacher Support

Students have access to the course teacher through email, phone and in-person.  However the phone is not the best option for explaining math problems.
