Thank you so much for your interest in our elementary program at the Vancouver Learning Network (VLN). VLN is the Online program of the Vancouver School District.
Our elementary program:
- runs from kindergarten to Grade 7
- covers the BC curriculum
- is a full-time program (September – June)
There are no live teaching sessions, and families are effectively a home facilitator in their child’s education. The teacher is responsible for providing the coursework based on the current BC curriculum, assessing your children's work and providing you and your children with feedback.
Families are required to meet with the teacher first, in order to determine if this distributed learning structure is suitable for your child and to develop an individualized student learning plan.
If you wish to register your child for VLN for the 2020-2021 school year, please complete and email the elementary application package.
Please note that the closing date for these applications is Friday, March 12, 2021.
